Overview

This is a great opportunity to be responsible for developing a HR function with a fast growth, scaling tech / e-commerce business that is challenging the health and beauty market. This company are providing their own range of premium products, and are are using technology to ensure that customers are provided with the advice and the products that are right for them. We are supporting this business to help them find their first People Manager to join them as they scale the business. This is a perfect opportunity to help shape the people function and culture of a growing startup in a stand alone capacity. Reporting into the COO, you will work closely with the management team to build and implement a suitable people strategy, helping them actively shape company culture as they grow. As the successful candidate you will: Take responsibility for recruitment across the business, working closely with hiring managers to ensure they hire the right talent to meet ambitious business objectives Take ownership and develop key people frameworks: performance management, career progression, learning & development and compensation. Be responsible for the whole employee lifecycle, from candidate experience to an incredible onboarding process to the celebration of milestones. Work with the leadership team to further define company values and the best methods to communicate these. Take ownership of the careers site and consider ways we can further develop this as an incredible resource for prospective candidates. Develop the team handbook, HR policies and management guidelines. To succeed in this role you will have a strong generalist background gained ideally in a stand alone capacity in a start up or fast scaling environment. Experience within e-commerce or technology would be an advantage. You will have knowledge across all the people functions including recruitment, benefits, performance management, talent management and development. You will have a high level of commercial acumen and the ability to develop relationships with all levels within the organisation, together with demonstrable leadership and people management skills. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of the people challenges that come with a rapidly scaling tech company.
