Head Chef - Iconic 5 Star property in Central London Head Chef - Salary £60,000 Momentum Hospitality Recruitment is seeking talented Head Chef ready to lead a large kitchen brigade at one of London’s most acclaimed operations. Whilst focusing on sourcing local produce and always using fresh ingredients, this beautiful property presents a versatile offering including A La Carte, Luxurious Afternoon Teas, Meetings & Special Events as well as Special Celebrations and Banqueting areas. As the Head Chef, you’ll have solid experience working in a fast paced, high volume operations and must present a solid background working within large scale and/or special events, banquets, meeting and conferences as well as A la Carte traditional restaurant operations. Head Chef Profile: Experienced in cooking British contemporaneous cuisine; Passionate and creative with the ability to lead and inspire a large size kitchen brigade; Present polished kitchen management expertise,be confident and present strong leadership skills; Must have a strong command of high-end cuisine and thorough business management skills; Be able to manage stock control, promote financial discipline within the kitchen, waste control and ensure that all hygiene requirements are met to the highest standards; Will have excellent training, development and organisation skills along with the ability to work under pressure and overcome all challenges expected from a high profile operation. Head Chef Skills and Attributes: Strong work ethic//Decision Making//Creativity//Conceptual Ability//Organization// Planning//Customer Focus//Goal Setting//Team Building//Assertiveness// Accountability Head Chef Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the entire operation of the kitchen during specific shifts ensuring high standards are adhered to at all times; Ensure high standards are adhered to at all times as well as supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items, their preparation and garnishment; Whilst using seasonal produce, maintain food quality and presentation standards as well as assist with the training of cooks, and control of food safety; Coach the brigade on effectively managing costs while maintaining the recipe standards, and the cooking and preparation procedures; Efficiently and effectively lead the kitchen brigade team during Events whilst successfully communicating with all other HOD’s; Achieves culinary operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; prepares and completes action plans; implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; serves as culinary resource supporting operations management to improve performance of the unit; Improve cost structure by improving BOH operating efficiency through maximizing the productivity of the staff, developing new procedures or streamlining processes; Engage and adhere to all Health & Safety procedures.
