Overview
Our client provides a unique community-based living and learning environment for young males aged 13-18 years. With four homes in rural Surrey and West Sussex, they're looking for an experienced Waking Night Support Worker to join their new home in Guildford. As a waking night Support Worker, you will earn a starting salary of up to £22,000. Your working hours will be 10 pm to 9 am which will be on a rota of 5 nights followed by five rest days. Our client offers enhanced overtime rates plus 28 days annual leave. You will also be entitled to significant benefits, including increased disclosure costs and a NEST pension option and free on-site parking. You will receive a thorough induction and further ongoing training opportunities. Your essential Support Worker skills must include: ? You must hold NVQ Diploma level 3 in children's workforce ? Previous experience of working with young people ? Experience of managing a small team of care staff ? You must also be a driver. You will need to develop positive relationships with their young people and support them in their daily practices as they work towards positive outcomes. You will gain their understanding and develop strategies to meet their ongoing needs. You will also need to attend meetings and participate in training as required and be responsible for following a consistent approach to settle them at bedtimes. You may have to attend the young people's holiday, which is usually for one week in the summer.
