Job Description A brand new opportunity has arisen for a Finance Lead to join and lead RSA's Cost programme, to be based in Liverpool. It will be an initial 12 month contract. The role is to lead Finance activity across UK Cost Programme. Working closely with the Programme PMO the role will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning and reporting, owning delivery and presentation of all financial related material. The Programme itself comprises multiple individual initiatives from across the UK business and the role will require coordination across all areas. You will become an integral member of the PMO team albeit representing Finance. You will be required to report and present to Executive level and be integral to the Programme rhythm participating in Steering Committees, Executive Update activity and ad hoc activity as workstreams within the wider Programme dictate. You will be the key link between the Programme and UK Finance ensuring that all UK Finance obligations (planning, forecasting and reporting) are fulfilled on behalf of the Progamme Role Responsibilities Be the 'go to' / Finance Lead to the Programme Become primary link between the Programme and wider UK Finance ensuring all forecasting and reporting obligations are met in line with requirements Coordinate and control CBA production in line with RSA standards - bringing critique and challenge as appropriate Prepare plans, forecasts and reports on a regular or ad hoc basis to meet the needs of internal customers/stakeholders, within agreed timescales as part of wider Programme Governance regime Developing strong relationships across the finance and wider business community and managing stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of outputs Communicating and liaising with Finance and Business colleagues in order to understand and investigate financial performance and developing opportunities or risks to the Programme Build and maintain accurate periodic (monthly) reporting of Programme Financial performance ensuring all support process are in place and functioning effectively Ensure Programme finances are accounted accurately and in line with RSA policy Accuracy and attention to detail Ability to engage with, challenge and manage stakeholders/internal customers Timely delivery of reports, analysis and presentation Quality and consistency of interpretation and insight Presentation of information (oral, written and graphic) Stakeholder Feedback While this role does not have any direct reports, there will be assumed stakeholder and matrix management required The Individual Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or CIMA fully qualified) Ideally track record in a Finance Project environment Working experience of typical PMO / governance regimes Experience of working at Executive level in a challenging commercial context Ability to work to tight deadlines Proficient in excel and PowerPoint Understanding Data Effective Communication Planning and Forecasting Communicating Effectively Building Effective Relationships Financial and Business Modelling & Forecasting Finance: Professional Expertise Finance: Commercial Insight and Advice About us Based on Old Hall Street in the heart of Liverpool's thriving commercial district you will find the RSA Liverpool office.
