Herts Good Care is a non-profit company, supporting adult care providers across Hertfordshire to fill their permanent positions. We are currently working with The Chase to find a Care Assistant to join their team. Job Shift: Days, Nights and Weekends Location: Watford Type of Provider: Care Home (Residential) , Nursing Home (Residential) Assisting older adults living with Dementia, End Of Life, Mental Health Salary: £8.30 Per Hour Hours of Work: 22-48 Working times are 8am - 8pm and will include alternate weekend Driving Required: Yes Contract Type: Full Time Contract About the company Our Care Home is one of our largest homes with 110 beds and lies in a new development just off Whippendell Road in Watford. What does the role of Care Assistant involve? We are looking for Care Assistants to join our team, whether you are new to care or looking to develop your career we want to hear from you. The role of the Care Assistant is to support our residents with their everyday needs ensuring emotional and social needs are met. Promoting independence, choice and dignity and assisting where needed with personal care activities such as washing, dressing and meal times. You will be part of daily recreational social activities within groups and one to one. Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Assisting residents in bathing, dressing and general mobility in accordance to their individual plan of care. Assisting residents in their personal hygiene requirements in accordance to their individual plan of care. Assisting residents with their continence requirements in accordance to their individual plan of care. Reporting any changes in residents’ health or behaviour to your immediate supervisor. Retrieving from and delivering personal laundry to residents’ rooms. Working with all other staff to ensure a happy, clean, dignified and safe environment for the residents. Ensure all records and documents are updated in accordance with company policy. Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation. Assist with general cleaning, tidying and kitchen duties. What makes the perfect Care Assistant? Develop good and effective relationships with all aspects of the business internally and externally. Understand care planning process and experience of writing care plans. Knowledge of regulatory framework.
