Overview
We're looking for an experienced Finance professional to join our Financial Reporting team as a Finance Business Partner for our Property Services directorate. Initially based in either Newbury or Basingstoke, this role will be moving to Basingstoke when we relocate to our brand new Central Hub later in the spring. This is a key role within the team where you'll need to gain a full understanding of the breadth and complexity of Property Services. You will develop strong relationships with the leadership teams, analysing both the immediate and long term financial implications of strategic decisions to ensure that changing requirements are fully evaluated, with your advice meeting constantly evolving business needs. You'll also take full responsibility for financial performance reporting (including monthly management reports, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets), providing analysis and assessing performance along with highlighting any areas of risk. We'll expect you to demonstrate strong, clear working knowledge of processes and controls around budgeting, forecasting and management account preparation. To support you in this activity, you'll manage a team of finance specialists that includes Management Accountants and a Finance Analyst. You'll need to demonstrate experience in managing a small team and the ability to drive commitment and positivity during a period of exciting change. You should be a Qualified Accountant with demonstrable experience in a finance business partnering role (or similar senior finance position) with exposure to key managementstakeholders, ideally within the housing, construction or property sectors. You will be commercially focused and a confidentcommunicator as you'll be presenting your analysis and advice to senior leaders and Board sub-committees to enable accurate financial business planning. As a leading Housing Association, Sovereign is committed to developing great homes and communities and is taking big steps towards our growth ambition of building 1,900 homes a year. What we do makes a real difference to people's lives and by joining us you can share the satisfaction of doing something that really matters.
