If so, we'd love to hear from you eSift are currently looking for an experienced Head of Finance to join a national organising within the education sector Location: London, EC1 Salary: Circa £70K per annum Reporting into the Director of Finance & Investment, you will be accountable for the effective delivery of the finance strategy. This will be achieved by ensuring the function’s efficient operation and working to improve its value to the business. The oversight of the finance function will encompass responsibility and operational accountability for financial control, operations, planning and analysis, achieved through driving the function forward and the effective management and development of a team of 3 as well as working closely with internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will oversee the smooth delivery of the agreed month-end timetable to ensure timely reporting to SLT and the Board as well as responsible for maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity Our ideal candidate will have/be; Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or through experience) with a proven background in managing a finance function in a start-up or fast-moving environment. Demonstrable understanding of and the make-up of a secure financial control environment Proven administrative, leadership and management effectiveness in the areas of strategic planning, analysis and organisational development. Demonstrable competency in running a finance function including payroll, VAT and transactional processing Attributable success in delivering a year end through to audit closure Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise work, handle pressure and take day-to-day decisions on the running of the organisation. Demonstrable understanding and experience of managing risk Excellent technical accounting skills and a proven ability to apply them effectively Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; a commercial and bold thinker Ability to analyse complex financial information and communicate results and options for decision-making clearly and succinctly A demonstrable influencer, ability to drive impact and implement change Resilient and flexible, comfortable with complexity and ambiguity Results-driven and a person of upmost integrity A motivator, a leader and an empowerer and developer of his/ her/ their team A collaborative and an effective relationship builder An advanced user of Excel and computerised Accounting Software: NetSuite would be an advantage eSift have been appointed as the resource partner and we are managing this role on behalf of our client.
