Overview
Credit Controller. Birmingham City Centre. Salary £24,000 to £27,000 DOE. Hays Credit Management is supporting a well established professional services organisation in the City Centre. They are one of the largest providers of their services across Europe and pride themselves on offering a unique and premium service to all its clients. They are growing the finance team in Birmingham after a period of growth and looking to take on an experienced Credit Controller to join the team of 12. The Credit team are going through a period of process change and improvement, looking to bring in new ideas and processes alongside offering study support for the CICM. Your new role The Credit function is pivotal to the overall services the organisation offers its clients, in this role you will support the Credit Manager to ensure a high level of customer service and timely and accurate collections of overdue fees and payments. You key duties in the role: Managing a ledger made up of 200-300 live accounts Chasing arrears on behalf of clients Resolving queries and agreeing re-payment plans. Monthly preparation of Credit reports including; Aged debt analysis, bad debt provision report and overdue and concern report. Liaising with internal partners to adhere to company service level agreements Taking accounts up to legal, instructing solicitors and bailiffs on recovery actions when required. Supporting the cashiers with the allocation of mis-allocated cash. What you'll need to succeed Studying towards AAT or CICM Experience in a complex billing/credit function Experience in a professional service environment is desirable 2 years experience in Credit.
