Overview
A large public sector organisation based in Greater Manchester are looking for an Interim Finance Manager for a period of six months. As an Interim Finance Manager they will be responsible for managing multiple Finance Managers, monthly reporting, month-end, year-end accounts, improving internal controls and processes and ad-hoc projects. Key Responsibilities: Provide accurate and timely revenue and capital budget monitoring and funding reports to senior officers and members Support the production of the annual statement of accounts including complex group statements Provide information and financial data required for Business Plans Project plans and management action plans and to provide an overview and initial scrutiny role Support the Authority and other stakeholders by providing comprehensive financial management services, including budget planning and reporting Team management of Finance Managers Prepare financial models to illustrate the financial impact of proposals Support development of improvements to the financial system / procedural improvements and support implementation of the improvements, solutions and enhancements Experience required: CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified Month-end, reporting and statutory accounts experience Process improvement, systems or procedures Team management Stakeholder management internally and externally
