Interim Financial Controller
Overview
Axon Moore is exclusively recruiting an Interim Group Financial Controller on behalf of a private equity-backed company that is a UK market leader in the service sector based in Greater Manchester. The business is looking to hire of a technically strong, experienced Financial Controller in this strategically important role. Responsible for the management of the central accounting team, the remit is broad, covering all core accounting processes that underpin the statutory and management accounts, tax returns and other regulatory returns. Duties: Partner with senior management/stakeholders both within finance and the wider business to understand business activity, risks and opportunities in order to produce Management Information Lead, manage, motivate a large team of accountants Consolidation of budgets and short-term forecasts to meet the needs of the business Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management and Board Report and influence the working capital components of the Group with specific attention to stock, debtors and cash balances Monthly balance sheet forecasting Accuracy of all journals and general ledger Working with internal stakeholders to provide accurate monthly management information to agreed timelines Preparation of accounts to meet internal and statutory requirements Deliver effective financial management & controls across the organisation Person Specification: Recent in-depth experience in a large corporate multi-site business From a big company background, between £100 and £500 million turnover Experience of managing a large team of qualified accountants (10 plus) Accustomed to change and growth Please send a CV for immediate consideration.
