Overview

Reed Secure are looking for an Investigating Officer to support Surrey Police with ongoing investigations. The role is on an interim basis with an initial booking length of 6 months, potential to be extended. PAYE salary - £14.01 plus holiday accrual and Reed benefits, or £17.28 Umbrella salary. You would be working as part of the Safeguarding Investigations Unit undertaking necessary enquiries including, but not limited to, statement taking, exhibit handling, witness and victim contact and undertaking prisoner processing through interview and initial file preparation and submission. As well as, preparing court files in respect of early first hearings (expedited files) and early administrative hearings (remand files) and to prepare internal files in respect of those offenders suitable for caution, reprimand or final warning. In essence, this would be a suitable role for a previous Detective Constable working in any mainstream office (CID, SIU, SOIT, Sapphire – Serious Sexual Investigation teams, Child Abuse Investigation, Community Safety Teams).
