Overview

Outreach Support Worker Magisters Education are currently working alongside an inclusive, engaging and supportive Children’s Centre in the heart of Harrow. The warm, welcoming Children’s Centre are currently looking for exceptional, enthusiastic and energetic Outreach Support Workers to support children and young people aged 5 - 25 years of age on a permanent basis. Salary: £18,000 per annum (37.5 hours a week with a minimum of 32 days annual leave) The Role: As an Outreach Support Worker you will be enabling children and young people with learning difficulties and complex needs such as Autism, ADHD and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties in enjoying mainstream activities within the community. This will involve 1:1, personalised and group care to encourage the children and young people to develop their skills and reach their potential. Key Responsibilities: - Providing high quality care and personal support to meet individual needs - Developing positive relationships to support individuals in accordance to their needs whilst maintaining professional boundaries with children, young people, their parents and carers - Directly supporting children and young people within the family home, out in the community, at the centre or in partaking in group or 1:1 activities - Acting as a Key Worker, responsible for the children and young people whom you work closely alongside - Supporting children and young people with the following activities; personal care, cooking, cleaning, attending appointments, college and work, organising group activities of shared interest and promoting social skills - Adhering to Safeguarding policies and procedures at all times, keeping up to date with the CQC and Ofsted standards - Maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene to ensure the wellbeing of all children and young people Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Early Years, Education, Play, Youth of Childcare is desirable If you are experienced in supporting children and young people with SEN and are a motivated and committed Outreach Support Worker then please apply today We look forward to working with you.
