NBC News has been a leading source of global news and information for more than 75 years OVERVIEW OF ROLE The London News Bureau plays a key role in providing the coverage of international news and in supporting overseas field operations. This is a busy environment covering stories 24/7 and therefore a flexible approach, a sense of humour and an interest in technology are essential. Our IT Specialists are experienced people with experience of working with a demanding customer base in a busy broadcast news environment. We work on quick turnaround news packages to tight deadlines. You will demonstrate your technical ability and the eye for detail when aiding the editorial team to output the best possible content in line with NBC News production values. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide IT, Broadcast and Telecomms support in a 24/7 environment supporting our London Bureau, London Warehouse and International Bureaus as well as users in the field. - Track issues through resolution, while communicating with both engineering management and operational production clients. - Interface with vendors and manufacturers to research and address support issues and create bug reports. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS - Candidate must have 3 years of system maintenance experience with proven expertise in media and systems support - A Degree, qualification or certification in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, System Integration, or relevant technical disciplines and from an accredited technical training institution - Must have system-level troubleshooting knowledge of the following hardware & software: Desktop and Laptop support including Windows 7/10 and MAC OS administration knowledge; RSA Tokens, Certificates, Cisco Anyconnect VPN; Office 365; Server support including Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016 as well as Linux Ubuntu
