Payroll & Pensions Clerk vacancy - Sheffield Centre - Up to £21,200 per annum Your new company I am working with a local government service organisation who are seeking to add to their Payroll & Pensions team, based in central Sheffield. Your new role Your new role will provide an efficient and effective payroll function for the organisation, assisting in the development, maintenance and operation of the payroll system and operating function. As part of a team of 5, you will support both the Payroll Manager and Payroll Supervisor in providing the accurate and timely payroll service to the organisation and Pensioners. What you'll need to succeed You will have strong experience in the full payroll process including pensions, with a payroll qualification beneficial however not essential. You will be competent working across a variety of IT packages including MS Office functions, with excellent customer service skills and knowledge of PAYE, NIC, balancing & reconciling payrolls and statutory requirements relating to payroll. What you'll get in return This role is working for a local government service organisation with 35 days total holiday per annum and a salary of up to £21,200 per annum. Working days are Monday to Friday, 37.5 working hours/week to be worked flexibly. Pension scheme is very generous. There is no free parking available with this position, however is based very central in Sheffield centre with sufficient local parking availability and good local transport links, with employees benefiting from the free onsite gym and a subsidised canteen.
