As part of our development in the Automotive sector , we are currently looking for a design and release engineer with a significant experience in testing. Are you a design and release engineer looking for a dynamic company to develop with? Working as part of ALTEN’s Automotive team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in many challenging engineering activities for a wide variety of automotive industries. Due to our rapid growth, we have an opening for design and release engineers who will be responsible of : - Leading the component development, including 2D and 3D CAD. - Managing the supplier including ensuring quality, cost and timing targets are met. - Co-ordinating the technical tests (RMDV). - Checking that programme timing objectives are met, identifying all risks to the programme and escalate them. - Ensuring the effective application of APQP to manage system/ component delivery. - Verifying that issues are addressed and closed off. - Ensuring vehicle builds are supported with parts at the required level - Providing engineering guidance to other departments, help to train new engineers and keep abreast of industry trends and issues. The ideal candidate must show · High level of commitment towards ALTEN and our customers stakes · Solutions oriented mind-set · Delivery focus · Result driven and fact-based approach · Strong abilities to work under pressure · Autonomous technical project management abilities · Abilities to work and progress in a cross-functional environment Ideal Skills & Pre-requisites You will have at least a first-hand experience with w orking with customers and suppliers and in mechanical design/product delivery. A previous experience in the automotive sector is a plus. Ideal Tools Experience of WERS, APQP and RMDV (desirable but not essential) Qualifications required Qualified with a Master in engineering or has demonstrable experience within the domain.
