JOB - Design Engineer LOCATION - Wimborne TERM - Contract SALARY - £25 - £30p/h (dependent on experience) My client – a Designer of Mechanical components and products are looking for a SolidWorks proficient Design Engineer to join their operation on a 3-6 month contract at their site based in Wimborne. The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: 5 years' experience in a similar Mechanical Design based position Good proficiency with SolidWorks CAD Package, licensed software and the capacity to work remotely is a bonus. An established portfolio, outlining and detailing design concepts. The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team Excellent communication skills The Mechanical Design Engineer's duties will involve: Being involved in concept design through to production Producing 3D CAD models, 2D drawings and prototypes within an engineering environment. Selection of appropriate materials for a range manufacturing processes Working within the existing Engineering team. Meeting or exceeding deadlines effectively to deliver on continued growth and success.
