Senior IT Engineer/Floorwalker job, based in Northampton, £17.50 per hr (Umbrella), contract till May 2020 We have the pleasure of recruiting for a Senior IT Support Engineer to work in our Northampton office for one of the UK's leading and most recognised IT Service providers This fantastic opportunity has arisen, due to the uplift in workload and working on new projects within the business. You will be working in Northampton with a reputable organisation that will add development and progression to your career and CV. You will support the Project Manager and a team of technical engineers. Day to day duties will include various activities, you will be provided with a Win10 desktop, scripts and TP account. You will essentially be tasked with the following tasks: During deployments and the floor-walking activities to assist Deployment/Floor-walking Engineers with issues remotely (over the phone/remotely to the device). Help engineers troubleshoot issues remotely following provided scripts (which also are available for the deployment /FW engineers). Triage the issues and get TP Second Line Analyst involved, if the issue cannot be resolved. Log to the Knowing Issues log issues and resolutions/work around. Update TP snagging log with raised issues that TP 2nd / 3rd Line Analysts need to investigate further and provide a fix. Skills/Experience required for this role: Previous knowledge on Windows 10/7, MS Office applications and other relevant software such as Skype for Business etc is required to carry out this position. Laptop & Desktops Data Transfer knowledge will also be a benefit. Training/shadowing and scripted documentation will be provided to get you up to speed with the process.
