Overview
Redimeer are recruiting for a Compliance Generalist to join a fast-growing, event-driven, market-neutral equity hedge fund, based in London. This is an exciting opportunity to be the Compliance expert in a young firm as well as get exposure to all areas of this hedge fund business. Responsibilities Working closely with the CRO/COO, your key responsibilities will include: • Be the Compliance subject matter expert in the firm • Own internal and regulatory Compliance reporting processes • Help with implementing and updating policies and procedures • Monitor trading activity and electronic communications for market abuse and best execution • Implement and monitor disclosure alerts and action position disclosure filings across jurisdictions • Manage pre/post trade Compliance checks and maintain internal logs/registers • Liaise with relevant service and system providers • Contribute to design of the Compliance monitoring programme and conduct the periodic reviews • Maintain restricted and watch lists • Contribute to firm committee meetings • Perform project work related to current exceptions or new initiatives • Support other suitable functions in the business, as required Requirements: • 4-6 years experience in a suitable Compliance or Legal function in a hedge fund, asset manager or prop trading firm • Strong product knowledge across asset classes with emphasis on global equities • Some legal and/or audit education or experience • Good current knowledge of existing and upcoming relevant regulations and regimes • Strong attention to detail • Strong Excel and Word skills • Ability to communicate efficiently and coordinate within a small team • Interested in supporting multiple areas of the business Compensation • Up to £75k per annum dependent on experience.
