Overview
My client is an established manufacturer in Essex. They design and produce grills, diffusers and louvres and carry out complete sheet metal fabrication and powder coating to architectural finishes. They now seek an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join them ASAP Job Overview To maintain all in house plant and facilities Responsibilities and Duties Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across site, production and supporting equipment Working closely with production teams to fault find within production processes Work with other departments to improve efficiency of production equipment Ensure the continued and efficient running of production lines and all associated equipment Skills and Experience Competent in Electrical and Mechanical maintenance Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment Experience of fault finding across a variety of machinery including pneumatics and hydraulics Basic electrical experience preferred but not essential A recognised engineering apprenticeship or qualification essential (HNC/HND, BTEC/NVQ) Personal Attributes Work to meet deadlines Be proactive and suggest process improvements Willing to complete overtime when required A good work ethic and the desire to complete the job in hand to a high standard Ability to read drawings and use measuring equipment Confident oral and written communication skills Salary and hours 08:00-16:20 Monday to Friday £25k to £30k Weekday overtime paid at 1.3x hourly rate Saturday overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89774743
