Gable Essex Ltd are recruiting for a full time Maintenance Engineer for our client based in Basildon. A bit about the client: They have one the biggest state of the art facility's in the UK. The role and what you'll be doing: ·Responsible for Preventative and Reactive Engineering work on the plant equipment in order to improve the machine reliability, availability and capacity. ·Working with third party equipment suppliers - maintenance/engineering activities that are in line with the agreed SLA's. ·Carrying out Preventative Maintenance and operational problems on equipment to maximum OEE. ·Reactive Maintenance Necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality to reduce time. ·First point of contact for other departments and Liaising with the shift manager to support manufacturing and production. ·Testing the equipment (Clearing Jams, try out equipment after repairs). ·Ensure all the compliance checks are completed and correctly filed. Knowledge & Skills Required: ·Problem Solving and Fault Diagnosis techniques equipment trials ·Shop floor presence and takes responsibility for training across all departments ·Take responsibility for PPM ·Previous Mechanical maintenance experience - 3 Years · NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering ·Families and worked with continuous improvement (C1, Lean, Kan Ban, OEE, TOC and other activities) This is a permanent position, if you feel you are suited to this role, don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity and apply today This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89187120
