Overview
Talented Embedded Software Engineer to join an established and growing company in the medical devices sector based in Gloucester. Suitable applicants will be skilled engineers with strong embedded C/C++ for (ideally ARM), hardware appreciation and knowledge of low level communications such as Ethernet, SPI and I2C. The successful Embedded Engineer will be responsible for writing code to interface with the hardware in a complex electro-mechanical device and also developing control algorithms that will use the electro-mechanical device to perform the required system level functionality (this may be closed loop pneumatic, hydraulic or mechanical control, but could be complex electric motor control etc). You should therefore have a good understanding of developing real time control systems. Ideally candidates will have experience of developing software for a regulated industry - aerospace, medical, automotive or can demonstrate some appreciation of safety critical development.
