Senior Developer - Microsoft Azure Opportunity to become a fully qualified Azure Developer The University of Salford Do you want to become a fully qualified Azure Engineer over the next couple of years? This organisation are embarking on one of their largest progressive transformations with the end goal of becoming a digital first university. Harvey Nash has partnered with The University of Salford to help bring on a Senior .NET Developer with experience in Microsoft Azure to joing their Digital Technology function, helping in the delivery of a variety of projects using a bredth of technologies. This role will be sat in the Development Team who form part of the One Digital Campus Programme, in Digital IT. This is one of the largest programmes that the University has embarked on, with the ambition of making it a digital first University, building on the current IT capacity within each department and in turn focusing strongly on improving the overall experience for students. This is a high paced, engaging, hands-on role, working with the latest software and assisting the organisation in transitioning to the Cloud. As a Senior Developer, you will work in an environment that is transitioning towards Agile development and delivery, on challenging and innovative projects. You will also work closely with other delivery leads, projects managers and architects, to provide technical guidance, reporting and advice on the best development methodologies. You will join a team who is responsible for systems development, producing development documents and the support of their crucial software and systems, this includes infrastructure and systems, data and telecommunication networks, email, IT security, databases, software applications, enterprise and corporate information, as well as suggest improvements to development and implementation of business and IT solutions. We are looking for people who want to be innovative in their role, who want to question and make decisions, but also recognise the importance of being part of a team who can hit the ground running whilst acknowledging that this project outcome is large-scale, challenging and won't be instant. We are looking for someone who wants to develop and progress in line with the organisation as it seeks to achieve a more digitally focused capability. The work is fast-paced, often reactive, and can be ambitious. You will require a high level of resilience and patience, but you will be working on a fantastic and rapidly-changing campus with people who are passionate about changing the lives of our customers.
