Overview

Senior Network Engineer Cooper Lomaz are currently recruiting for a growing organisation based in Fleet who have a new progressive opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer. This new role will be undertaking various activities associated to the administration, development and maintenance of the company's IT and communications cutting edge infrastructure. Work closely with the Technical manager you will understand 3rd party technologies identifying the needs of our customers with respect to IT communications systems and services. You will research, document and plan such requirements as they relate to the company's IT and communications systems infrastructure identifying the company's future IT and communications systems development goals and have the opportunity to design, build, maintain and document functional, secure and highly available networks across office, data centre and cloud environments. The successful applicant will configure and install network hardware and software ensuring all devices on a network communicate with each other as dictated by policy. Within this position you will have responsibility for maintaining and updating IT security policies in line with emerging threats and changing working practices and ensure all network and server infrastructure work adheres to company security policies and accreditations. You will proactively monitor Network and IT infrastructure performance across company estate and mentor and train other members of the company in relation to computer networking and security. As a key member of the team you will identify potential issues with the IT system, to keep relevant personnel informed as to the nature and potential impact of issues as they arise and to take necessary action to ensure the mitigation of disruption to the company's normal business. You will work with the Technical Manager to regularly update the master project development plan ensuring that the development plan rapidly adapts to the changing priorities of customers. Skills and qualifications • CCNP certification • Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP • VOIP Knowledge and experience • Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools • Experience with firewall technologies and VPN • Experience with virtualisation technologies • Strong problem-solving skills • Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders • Experience working to ISO27001 standards Desirable - not essential • Industry recognised Security certifications • Database administration skills and experience • Experience within AWS VPC • Apache and Linux configuration This job was originally posted as www.cwjobs.co.uk/job/89943568
