Overview

Here at PK Education we are currently looking for Residential Support Workers to become a part of the team for a school in the Doncaster area, starting immediately They are currently requiring Support workers for both day and night shifts. The pupils that attend are between KS2 and KS4 and have Special Educational Needs. This may include Autistic spectrum disorder, challenging behaviour, moderate learning difficulties and hearing impairment. It would be desirable for you to have experience in this type of role, or working with children with Special Educational Needs. You will also need to be happy and flexible to work either AM, PM or Double shifts. To be considered for this role, you will: Experience working as a support worker in a special school or similar setting (Desirable) Be a positive outgoing individual with a drive for being 100% committed Have knowledge of the different special educational needs Be Team Teach trained, or be willing to undertake the training Be willing to cook, clean and minimal personal care Skills such as knowing Sign Language would be desirable Quickly be able to build rapport with students, parents and other teachers Have an up-to-date Adult & Child DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through PK Education PK Education offer all support staff: • A personal consultant who will work tirelessly to find you the work you want • Support with CV’s and interview advice An excellent refer a friend scheme to earn £150 of vouchers per candidate referred • Caring and supportive service which will exceed your expectations of supply teaching agencies If this role isn’t for you: PK Education work with schools to recommend high quality staffing solutions in recruitment of teachers and support staff.
