Overview

Residential Support Worker - Children - Doncaster We have the pleasure of working with a Children's Residential home in Doncaster who are looking for Support Workers to cover various shifts (7am - 1pm OR 2pm - 10pm) on a supply basis as and when required. Some roles can become longer term. Some shifts may also be within schools working hours such as 8am - 4pm. As a Support Worker, every day will be different and you won't find a more rewarding career. The School residential site/ home caters for SEN children, specifically those with Autism, therefore experience in providing care/support to people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues is a MUST or be able to work in such an environment with strong resilience. What you will need: Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one Passion to work with children and those with special educational needs Be resilient and be understanding of the situation each individual may be facing due to their own individual situations Be able to speak and write fluent English Have a caring nature and approach Ideally have worked with children with SEN or be willing to work with children whose behaviour is very challenging Flexible in the hours you work
