Overview
A fantastic opportunity to join a growing, forward thinkin professional services business based in the heart of modern Manchester. This role will be responsible for: the UK transaction accounting (posting daily bank transactions; managing supplier invoice posting and settlement, creating UK client invoices); and manage a global team who support with onboarding clients to our billing systems. The role reports into the Head of Group Finance and has 3 direct reports, all of whom manage teams. As a direct report of the Head of Group Finance, this role is expected to deputise for the Head of Group Finance, as required, and play an active role in the Manchester Finance team leader group. Key responsibilities: the daily working capital transaction activity in the UK organisation the delivery of regular process performance reporting and analysis to stakeholders delivery of process improvements in line with the Firm's strategic direction establishing the global standard for transaction processing at a global Firmwide level and upskilling global communities monitoring and improving global process compliance, including all relevant internal controls playing an active role in improvement projects or initiatives and providing first line problem solving support to other offices Key requirements: Relevant previous experience of successfully managing transactional teams Track record of delivering continuous improvement programs and change management projects. Ability to build effective relationships through interpersonal skill and technical expertise to aid cross functional working, delivery and a sense of collaboration and teamwork. Proven experience of resolving complex queries. Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information succinctly and concisely, to all levels in the organisation. Focus on client and service mindset with a commitment to a high level of customer service. Embraces changes and adjusts to continuous business change and improvement. Professional services experience Qualified accountant
