Overview

Senior Reporting Accountant Basingstoke £up to 55k plus bonus Butler Rose is proud to be supporting a global brand with their recruitment for a new role to be based in North Hampshire. Reporting to the Global Manager and working as part of a new and fast growing team, we are seeking a qualified Accountant with strong reporting and proven management skills. The role will be to manage a team responsible for the timely & accurate processing of the financial control, accounting & reporting activities; provide support and coordination through financial reporting and analysis and be part of the implementation team on delivering the new NetSuite system. Key responsibilities Responsible for processing and coordinating period end close activities; Complete balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany and liaise with balance sheet owners as necessary; Prepare Financial & management reports, and ensure compliance with regulations; Supervise accounting activity across international legal entities; Managing journal processing; Maintenance of dynamic & static recharge allocations; Creation of daily, weekly and monthly flash reports in line with the centralised reporting strategy; Submit divisional cash flow forecasts to Group treasury; Ownership of relevant end-to-end process documentation; Ensures system of accounts and records are properly maintained; Ensures compliance with accounting and tax statutory requirements; Coordinating preparation of Audited Financial Statements; Preparing monthly/quarterly internal financial statements with actual to budget results, and preparing regular operational/financial measurement reports. The person: We are seeking a fully qualified technically strong Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who has experience of managing teams ideally within a shared service environment for a global business. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of month end close processes and of working with a new finance system implementation. Candidates should be proactive, driven, with strong stakeholder management skills and preferably knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, six sigma & of using performance management systems such as "Visual Management".
