Overview
Due to new program awards and expansion a leading manufacturer to the aerospace & defence sectors has a new vacancy for a Manufacturing Engineer. Working with engineering, quality and project teams you will deliver NPI and drive continuous improvement across the plant. Commutable from: Cheltenham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Stroud, Bristol. Salary: £ 33 ,000 - £ 40 ,000 p.a. pension benefits . Suitable For: Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, Process Engineer, NPI Engineer, CI Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer. The Role Working for this successful and growing manufacturer you will support new product introduction, improve manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement and support production teams in day to day manufacturing engineering activities. Key responsibilities: Manage launch of new products & processes Lead manufacturing readiness Support Operations and Engineering in the introduction of new manufacturing processes Apply a Lean Management approach in Manufacturing Engineering Supervise production prototyping and initial production runs Take ownership and manage new product introduction Support healthy and safety working practices in the Manufacturing Engineering team The Candidate An e xperienced Process Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer you will ideally have worked in precsion engineering and have a good understanding of lean methodologies and new product introduction you will be able to communicate effectively at all levels and be a qualified engineer.
