Overview
Our client based in Reading is looking for an experienced Multi Modal Freight Forwarder. This is a permanent role which may involve overnight stays away from home. A 5 year check able history will be required in the UK. The company is offering a very competitive package, including pension, bonus scheme, gift cards, cycle to work and flexible working Outline of Duties: Managing full life cycle of the movement of goods from pick up to final delivery including, but not limited to: Receiving enquiries, discussing requirement, generating quotes on Boxtop Liaising with air, sea and road carriers regarding routes, schedules and rates Liaising with road transport operations regarding haulage provision for Global customers Booking cargo space with air, sea and road carriers/couriers Processing customs declarations including trade control licencing as directed by the Global Forwarding Manager. Preparing all shipping documentations to meet carriage requirements, legislation and ISO requirements using Boxtop software Preparing and collating any additional paperwork for each movement to ensure compliancy with international legal requirements Monitoring shipment departures and arrivals and update Boxtop and customers as required. Daily interface with customers, suppliers, third parties, subcontractors and crew regarding the details of the movements Keeping file administration up to date including processing of sales & suppliers invoicing, credit notes etc. using Boxtop Supporting project moves where required.
