Overview

Vitaflo (International) Ltd are currently looking to recruit a Pilot Plant Manager to work at its head offices just outside of Liverpool city centre on a full-time, permanent contract. This is a new role within our operations department and will involve full management and responsibility for operating the pilot plant and managing the team to ensure trial products meet defined standards and specification. Vitaflo (International) Ltd has been at the forefront of developing innovative specialised clinical nutrition products for metabolic disorders, ketogenic diets, renal disease and disease related malnutrition for over 20 years. Key responsibilities of our Pilot Plant Manager: - Full accountability for validation of all processes within the plant - Create and update SOPs and trial documentation - Maintain accurate batch traceability records - Plan and provide training and development opportunities for your direct reports to ensure adequate resources and competency levels meet project requirements - Drive achievement of meeting targets and objectives, specifically within quality, safety and equipment usage - Responsible for ensuring risk assessments are in place for all activities and SHE initiatives - Ensuring the maintenance of required hygiene standards in line with Nestle requirements - Ensure all non-conformances and SHE issues are investigated and resolved with appropriate corrective actions - Create and maintain the Pilot Plant’s Operational Master Plan - Identify improvement opportunities in the area and drive implementation - Supervision and maintenance of the pilot plant - Contribute to projects by supporting the selection and evaluation of new equipment Skills and Experience required by our Pilot Plant Manager: - Proven track record in a similar role is essential - Preferably educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related discipline - Understanding of HACCP and Food Safety principles - Have the capability to develop, motivate and lead a team - Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Vitaflo and Nestle - Ability to create a climate of innovation, renovation and knowledge sharing - Have a passion for products and consumers - Excellent time management skills Benefits of becoming our Pilot Plant Manager: - Competitive salary - Excellent working conditions - Study support - Employee recognition scheme - Volunteering opportunities - Employee Assistance Programme - Discretionary bonus scheme (subject to qualifying period) - Gym membership (subject to qualifying period) - Employer pension contribution (3% rising to 5% subject to qualifying period then matched up to a maximum of 10%).
