Role description / purpose Tax Accountant Staines-Upon-Thames As a member of the Group Finance team you will support our clients vision to be the trusted brand for financial services in Europe and to be the first choice and household name for financial services by 2030. You will participate and contribute to Financial Control and Tax compliance, working closely with Managers and the wider team you will work to enhance and develop opportunities to support this vision. Daily requirements of the role; Preparation of VAT (and other statistical filings), Corporate Tax and Employment Tax statutory compliance submissions for Senior Tax Manager review in the UK and other EU Member States. Preparation of quarterly and annual tax forecasting, reporting and disclosures. Posting tax payment journals, completing tax balance sheet reconciliations and arranging tax payments. To become the lead in respect of the development, review and maintenance of robust tax controls and process documentation for J-Sox and Senior Accounting Officer ("SAO") review. Become the main business contact for the business units in respect of the preparation of supporting information for tax submissions. To become the main business contact in respect of certain accounting close process and balance sheet reconciliations. Develop reporting for tax and accounting and become a systems expert. Reporting on any regulatory reporting requirements. Produce and maintain procedure documentation for all routine tax compliance processes. Provide cover to the accounting team as and when required. Ensure compliance with J-SOX requirements and all relevant legislation. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience Qualifications A relevant professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Skill Requirements Ability to work on own initiative Ability to complete tasks following defined process Ability to think differently and outside the box Ability to work directly with multiple stakeholders Knowledge Requirements Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft office particularly Excel Knowledge of preparing corporate tax computations. Knowledge of UK tax legislation Salary/Package; Base salary of up to £60,000, Bonus of up to 20% and Car Allowance
