Overview
We are looking for a Stress Engineer in to our team to support one of our potential customer Aerospace project situated at Wolverhampton, UK. Job Summary: •Support customer team in stress and vibration analysis of their products PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES: •Understand analysis requirements from the design and analysis leads •Model and set up linear and non-linear static analysis •Set up vibration analysis - normal modes, harmonic response, PSD as required •Carry out HCF and LCF life estimation •Create Campbell diagrams to predict margins on critical speeds from rotor dynamics COMPETENCIES & SKILLS: •The use of latest version of ANSYS Workbench •Vibration analysis (random, harmonic, self-induced vibration, force vibration etc.) •Rotor dynamics (critical speed calculation, Campbell diagram, bearing stiffness •Static analysis (manufacturing fits load, thermal loads) •Fatigue lifetime assessment (HCF and LCF) About QuEST: For more than 20 years, QuEST Global has been a trusted global product engineering and lifecycle services partner to many of the world’s most recognized companies in industries such as Aero Engines, Aerospace & Defense, Hi-Tech, Transportation (Automotive and Rail), Power and Industrial, Oil & Gas and Medical Devices.
