Social Worker, Learning Disability Team Job Reference: L73-A-20-0357 Swindon Borough Council Swindon Salary: £31,369 to £32,640 p.a. 37 hours per week Transitions and Learning Disability Teams, Adult Social Care Swindon Borough Council are expanding and developing the Transitions and Learning disability team in Adult Social Care. These teams have separate line management, however work very closely together to form one larger team. The main legal framework both teams work within is The Care Act. Learning Disability Team Within the adult learning disability team, we work with individuals living within a variety of settings to maximise their independence and life opportunities. We work within a multi-disciplinary framework . Alongside the completion of Care Act assessments, this team offers an opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in the areas of capacity, DoLs and court work. Social workers are responsible for managing a caseload that may include capacity assessments, completing DOLS applications and attending MDT meetings. The successful applicant will have experience of and a passion to work with individuals who may have a learning disability, physical disability or mental health needs and are committed to providing a person centred and strengths based approach to their work.
