Overview
Our client, a local authority based near the Richmond area is looking for a Team Manager for its Fostering service. The post entails managing supervising social workers in their support and supervision of foster carers to ensure safe and resilient placements for Children Looked After. This post, working closely with managers and teams across the service, is crucial in improving further our ability to sustain permanent placements for children and drive improvement in permanence care planning for children we care for. This authority plans to lead the children services to good and outstanding with the appointment of the new Assistant Director. Family Safeguarding approach improves outcomes for vulnerable children and young people by involving multi-disciplinary teams in children social care. We are working with new projects and ways of working which are very exciting. This includes introducing systemic practice; being part of the innovation programme and introducing the Family Safeguarding Model; and planning to work with Coram on a New Beginnings programme for our care leavers.
