Overview
Winlight Recruitment are recruiting for Senior Social Workers to join a Child Protection Team in Ely, Cambridgeshire. The Senior Social Worker will undertake court and child protection work on long term cases. The pay rate for this locum Child Protection position is £32 per hour and is an initial 3-month contract. Candidates working in this type of team will have the opportunity to: Work with children and families who are subject to a range of long-term social work interventions. Build positive working relationships with families over a period of time to achieve successful outcomes for children. Through partnership with a multi-agency network, you will be working with children who are subject to Child in Need plans, Child Protection plans, within the Public Law Outline and where care proceedings have been initiated. Cambridgeshire’s Children’s service has office bases in Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ely and Wisbech. We are looking primarily for Ely but we will also consider applicants that would be interested in other locations. To be considered, you must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in Social Work, Social Work Degree or equivalent) as well as at least 4 years in a child protection setting.
