Job Summary Temporary for 2 Years This post is based in the Procurement team within our Finance & Corporate Support Service, reporting to the Team Supervisor (Procurement). The Procurement team are responsible for purchasing all supplies, services and works required by North Ayrshire Council, including, care services, food, stationery, bin collections, vehicles, ICT equipment and the construction of new schools, offices etc and must ensure all purchasers are legally compliant, achieve best value for money and that contracts are put in place to ensure continuity of supply . The Procurement Modern Apprentice would support all activities required to ensure the councils purchases are legally compliant and achieve best value. As part of North Ayrshire Council's Modern Apprentice Recruitment Process if, following interview, you are chosen as a Preferred Candidate, you must complete a 2 week pre-employment Course with one of our Employability Partners, before being issued with a Conditional Offer of Employment.
