Overview
Change Public Practice are working with a well-established and reputable Scottish business to recruit a Finance Manager to join their team in Edinburgh City Centre. This business is a successful accounting firm with four offices across Scotland and so knowledge of working with Partnership and subsidiary companies may prove to be advantageous, but is not essential. In this role, you will be responsible for the finances for the firm, working closely with the Managing Partner to support the firm’s growth strategy. As the finance team is currently growing, you will be integral in implementing processes and will have a strong impact on the team moving forward. Responsibilities in this role will include but not be limited to: • Preparation of monthly management accounts and other monthly and quarterly management information • Preparation of VAT Returns • Preparation of annual budgets and monitoring of forecasts against actuals • Responsibility for cash flow management and liaison with the firm’s bank • Preparation of annual accounts for LLP and subsidiary companies • Companies House filing requirements for LLP and subsidiary entities • Review and implement internal processes and systems to improve the overall efficiency and performance of the firm • Work with firm’s projects manager on the management of the firm’s practice management system • Responsibility for annual billing of clients under the Tax Investigation Insurance Scheme • Ad hoc reporting requirements and other duties as required Requirements to be considered for this role include: • Fully-Qualified ACCA/CA or equivalent with relevant post-qualification experience • Positive self-starter with ability meet strict deadlines • Ability to liaise and communicate with key stakeholders externally and in the business • Excellent IT skills including Sage 50, Excel and other Microsoft packages The firm offers a friendly and supportive day-to-day working culture, promotes work/life balance with their flexible working policy and boasts a generous benefits package.
