What you'll need Proven background in a DevOps/Software Engineering role in a Linux environment. Understanding of things like Puppet, Ansible, Chef for configurations & automation. Scripting skills (e.g Bash, Ruby, Python, PHP, PowerShell). Experience monitoring SaaS systems running in the cloud. Understanding of cloud platform deployment & networking. Awareness of TCP/IP networking & security best practices. Any knowledge of VMware, AWS & Vagrant would be beneficial. What you'll be doing Based in the Nottingham office and reporting to the Head of DevOps, you’ll be responsible for ?providing centralised, end-to-end management of cloud platforms, security, and operations, liaising closely with the development team and taking ownership of incident response & management. Your day-to-day will include infrastructure planning & monitoring, deployment automation and maintenance of back-end infrastructure. ?You’ll also be responsible for b?uilding and maintaining internal tools used by the development and implementation teams. There is an on-call aspect to this role so it’s expected that you can provide out of hours support when needed.
