Test Equipment Project Engineer - Permanent - Aerospace & Defence - Attractive - Gloucestershire Area A Test Equipment Project Engineer is required to join an established company with a strong reputation in the aerospace and defence sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating project activities to ensure delivery of complex Test Systems and Rigs in line with customer requirements. The Test Systems support the Qualification and Production Acceptance testing of a wide range of Aircraft Flight Control Systems, Electro-Mechanical and Servo-Hydraulic Components. Responsibilities of the Test Equipment Project Engineer: The role will work with our customers, and a team of Test Equipment technical specialists Work on aspects of project management to deploy new or upgraded complex Test Systems Test Equipment and Systems on Company Facilities and within Customer Facilities Design and development of new assembly and hardware & electronics test equipment Work alongside repair, maintenance and calibration test teams The Test Equipment Project Engineer should have the following skills or experience: Bachelor Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Project Management, Aeronautical) - Relevant industrial experience would be considered Experience with test systems and equipment Knowledge of mechanical, electronic, electrical, software and power distribution components systems and rigs Experience in design and development testing within a relevant engineering sector (Aerospace, Automotive, Test Equipment) Experience in the development of test equipment solutions for multi-axis, closed loop, servo-hydraulic and electromechanical Test Systems is an advantage Experienced in the use of MS Project A Project Management qualification would be beneficial, but not essential A desire to develop a career in the field of Test Equipment Systems Engineering This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with knowledge of Servo-Hydraulic and Electro-Mechanical Test Systems design to develop your career.
