Overview

Test Equipment Technician - Permanent Aerospace & Defence - Attractive - Gloucestershire A Test Equipment Technician is required to join an established company with a strong reputation in the aerospace and defence sectors. The successful Test Equipment Technician will support the Test Equipment Manager and Engineers with the completion of activities on existing Test Equipment systems. The Test Equipment Technician will work with mechanical, electronic, electrical, software and power distribution components. Responsibilities of the Test Equipment Technician: Co-ordinate with the Test Equipment Design and Project/NPI functions Upgrade and sustainment of existing Test Equipment Systems Timely investigation and resolution of issues creating a stop on production Perform activities to complete planned and non-routine maintenance for all Test Systems Understand and adhere to relevant regulations and standards Maintain or create documentation during fault finding, maintenance or upgrade activities Use the Maintenance Management System to track work assignments Support Root Cause investigations into all aspects of the Test Equipment System Ensure all Health & Safety practices are followed Write or assist with the completion and review of work-related Risk Assessments Able to perform basic computer skills Understand and comply with quality procedures Specify parts to maintain inventories for Test Systems Support the documentation of Standard Operations on Test Equipment The Test Equipment Technician should have the following skills or experience: Knowledge of 2 from (Electronics/ Electrical/ Hydraulics/ Mechanical and or Software) Also, a basic understanding of the remainder with respect to Test Equipment A relevant vocational qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline as a minimum Experience of the build or maintenance of complex servo-hydraulic and electromechanical Test Systems and supporting infrastructure Experience in JIRA or Pirana or Maximo or NX or AutoCAD is advantageous Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word Knowledge of PC operating platforms (DOS/ Windows/ Microsoft) is advantageous Qualifications in one of the following: Machine Shop Practice, Hand Soldering or Hydraulic Maintenance would be advantageous This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with knowledge of Servo-Hydraulic and Electro-Mechanical Test Systems to develop your career.
