This is an exciting role for an Assistant Purchasing Manager who is looking for a new challenge and wants to join a fast paced, diverse and high performing team. Our Mission… We are looking for an Assistant Purchasing Manager to join our Purchasing Team in London on a Permanent basis. Your Mission… Responsibilities will include: - Assisting the Purchasing Manager in the daily operations of managing and coordinating the Purchasing & Purchasing Stores departments - Assisting and supporting the Purchasing Manager with the delivery and payment of purchase orders and invoices and ensuring they are accurate - Ensuring products are received in a condition consistent with the original request and any quality issues are addressed with suppliers - Continuously review products & suppliers and produce analysis reports with a view to negotiating procurement deals alongside the Purchasing Manager - Obtain competitive price quotes and promote this ethos to Buyers as well as maintain a secure supply chain This role involves working 9am-5pm, Monday- Friday. Some overtime may be required during busier periods so flexibility is key. It is essential that the successful candidate has experience within a similar purchasing/ procurement role, ideally at a senior level. A practical knowledge of purchasing principals, procedures and terminology is also desirable. You will need to be able to cope under pressure and have the ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
