Overview

A fast-growing business, in the hospitality sector, is recruiting a new Head of Finance. You will sit on the executive team and build a finance function. The business has ambitious plans for growth over the next 3 years. They have secured significant funding to date and have a strong fundraising pipeline. You will report to the Managing Director and take ownership for all financial and accounting matters relating to the company. You will play a critical part in the shaping of the company finance function, partnering the board commercially, and in integrating a robust financial culture. The business is at a start-up stage, you will be comfortable working with the Managing Director and preparing information and materials for fundraising. In this broad and senior position, a key part of your role will be to deliver all Business Planning; work with colleagues to build realistic budgets and forecasts; and constructively Business Partner and challenge the business around performance. You will design and produce performance and KPI reporting on a timely basis. As Finance Director, you will take responsibility for all statutory reporting, tax matters, manage the month end process and ensure accuracy of numbers e.g. P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. You will build the finance team and design and implement efficient team structures, processes and systems for Finance Operations e.g. expenses, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You will manage the preparation of the year-end audit and all internal governance and compliance will be your responsibility. You will act as point of contact for all third parties and manage the relationship accordingly (external accountants, banks, tax advisors, consultants). The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant who can demonstrate the ability to build a finance function in a start-up and high growth business. You will be motivated to develop and learn personally as the business moves forward on its exciting trajectory. This role is based in Central London and offers a competitive basic salary of approximately £60,000 - 65,000, plus benefits and bonus with the potential equity.
