Overview

Full-time, permanent, Finance Business Partner, £33,000 - £36,500, Bristol Your new company A governmental organisation is seeking a permanent, full-time Assistant Finance Business Partner to assist Finance Business Partners at a regional level. You will analyse financial data, check and challenge performance against targets, and provide advice and guidance on financial matters to ensure that the Directorate's financial position and forecasts are accurately accounted for. Your new role As the successful candidate you will support the Finance Business Partners to deliver strategic objectives and liaise with the Project Sponsors to produce monthly management accounts and reports. You will investigate any variances and find explanations. You will monitor performance against budgets and forecasts. You will analyse, review and challenge costs and expenditure yearly and across the projects. You will contribute robust, realistic and well-supported budgets and forecasts. You will identify risks within policies and procedures and suggest improvements. You will assess safety performance to minimise risks, develop improvements and escalate issues. You will share knowledge amongst the Assistant Finance Business Partner community to develop more effective working practices. You will undertake any other ad hoc duties as required. What you'll need to succeed You will be a part-qualified accountant or studying towards the Central Council of Accounting Bodies (CCAB) qualification. You will have strong Microsoft Office experience, with the ability to create and use complex spreadsheets. You will be able to deliver outcomes and achievements in a customer focused organisation. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a simplistic form. You will have excellent time management skills and be able to meet rigid deadlines.
