JOB TITLE: Rail Vehicle Engineer LOCATION: London DURATION: Rolling Contract PAY RATE: £284 per day PAYE/£381 per day Umbrella MUST HAVE: - Previous rolling stock experience (preferably engineering) - An Understanding of Rolling Stock engineering - An engineering degree - Knowledge of engineering safety management - Experience of writing technical documentation - Experience of personal responsibility for providing professional engineering support to - major/ projects and maintenance organisation(s), where there are complex interfaces - Record of continuing professional development - Commercial awareness of developments in Rolling Stock products, process's and assurance best practices. - Basic knowledge of relevant LU, British and International standards - Basic working knowledge of the LU business, its obligations and priorities NICE TO HAVE: - Experience of either of the following: Project Engineering, Design, Reliability Engineering ROLE INFORMATION: To provide professional engineering and/or leadership for Railway Rolling Stock Assets. You will be responsible for implementing a risk-based engineering approach through all lifecycle phases i.e. Specification, Design, Installation/Testing, Maintenance and Decommissioning / Disposal. If you enjoy working behind the scenes this role is the role for you. We need qualified and experienced engineers to work on different aspects of the engineering lifecycle. If you have previous rail experience and are passionate about improving reliability, making the project run smoothly, providing engineering solutions, working on the design process, we want to hear from you.
