Overview
Head of Undewriting - Asset Finance Milton Keynes Salary to £90,000 plus bonus and benefits Our client is an Asset Finance subsidiary of a niche bank based in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will: Have experience of managing a team of underwriters as well as a broad range of experience of underwriting hard asset type deals. Making timely and accurate underwriting decisions under a delegated lending authority and making both written and verbal recommendations to senior management and Credit Committee where a proposal is outside personal mandate. Prepare a comprehensive written analysis of a customer opportunity, identifying all financial and other risks including assessment of the security in the asset to be financed, in order to arrive at a balanced and informed decision or recommendation. Use all available tools and services including CRAs, other rating agencies, equipment valuation data and internal rating data to ensure that the level of due diligence is appropriate in assessing the potential risk. Work closely with the Origination team to ensure consistent communication and application of risk appetite to introducers. Visit potential customers with Origination team and introducers. You will have several years' undewriting experience within Asset Finance and a proven track record of managing a team and helping to implement new processes as the team grows and the role evolves.
