Overview
Our client is a leading dairy processing and distribution business, operating multiple sites across the UK. They are currently seeking Laboratory Technicians to join their Lab team at their main processing facility and HQ in West London. This role is required to carry out efficient and accurate laboratory testing, while complying with the prescribed procedures to report on final product specifications compliance. Core Responsibilities would include Ensure compliance to SOPs outlined in laboratory manual Consistently improve quality based performance Responsible for laboratory tasks and activities including calibration, sampling, etc Demonstrate expertise through quality based testing and data evaluation and accurate reporting Overall, you will need to be methodical in approach and have good communication, organisation and numerical skills together with an ability to handle multiple priorities and work accurately, while also work independently within a team. Demonstrate proficiency in basic use of MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook). Also, at times demonstrate a degree of manual dexterity. A basic science background with experience and working knowledge of food safety and quality is ideal. Experience working with analytical instruments or testing food products in a laboratory (Food based), would be an advantage. Experience in the dairy sector is preferred though not mandated. This is a shift-based role covering 5 days including weekend cover.
