NEW QUALIFIED/PART QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT REQUIRED BY PRESTIGIOUS FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY BASED IN SURREY Our client is one of the UK's largest investment fund managers. Their Asset Management Operation (AMO) is the operational backbone of their organisation crucial to the accurate, timely and efficient administration of their funds. Located in several global locations, including Dublin, UK, Luxembourg and Hong Kong, our client provide the middle and back office functions for the company ranging from trade settlement, corporate action processing and NAV generation, through to the production of reports and accounts for funds. Our client are dedicated to achieving the best possible returns for their investors and have a fantastic Head Office complex in the leafy suburbs of Surrey. Our client is currently seeking to recruit for an Assistant Manager in their Fund Accounting Area which is responsible for maintaining the books and records of a broad range of funds which includes OEICs, Investment Trusts and other closed end companies; money funds; life company funds; and benchmark specific unitised funds. The department completes all the Statutory Reporting on these funds as well as signing off the daily NAVs and explaining all security and other asset movements in the funds. The Fund Accounting team is split into two teams; the Product Control team and the Reporting team and a summary of the duties they are involved in appears below:- Preparation of the statutory financial reporting Liaising with external auditors Calculation and disclosure of fund and security tax positions. Reviewing the financial statements and the fund tax computations calculations. Regulatory reporting Supporting of new project initiatives Preparation of complex Investment Trust and or OEIC sub-fund financial statements. Provide coaching and training to junior members of staff. Development of departmental processes to enhance quality and mitigate risk. The post holder will have full ownership of the financial reporting for several of the OEIC legal entities to bring together publication of the financial statements and completion of the independent audit. You will review of financial statements and other external returns, ensuring compliance with current regulatory requirements. Applications for this unique role are particularly welcome from Qualified/Part Qualified accountants with fund accounting reporting experience in the Financial Services industry with good analytical skills, accurate and numerate with excellent attention to detail. You will be a self starter with 1st class verbal and written communication skills able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Good IT skills particularly Excel and Access would be welcome and any experience of FIS InvestOne would be an added bonus. Interested?
