Overview

Are you currently looking to work within a Credit Hire/ Fraud team? Do you have experience within a credit hire department? If so are friendly Credit Hire team are looking for a Validation File Handler. This role involves working within a small team of credit hire fraud specialists and credit hire support staff in an open plan environment. The Credit Hire Fraud File Handler will investigate and resolve pre-litigated cases where fraud is suspected, to the satisfaction of our clients. Key Accountabilities To proactively handle a case load of circa 90 pre-litigated credit hire fraud files within Keoghs credit hire unit To work within Keoghs and client’s agreed SLA Identify credit hire fraud triggers, set initial strategy, action plan and assess prospects of success following a review of available evidence in accordance with client guidelines To ensure the correct process (dormancy, repudiation, investigation) is followed on each case Consider and, if necessary, advise on the position of indemnity and appropriate case law Consider quantum and negotiate settlement with third parties if appropriate Undertake key investigations and regularly review strategy, following Keoghs processes Assess and undertake appropriate steps on the progress of claims to the advantage of clients Achievement of Keoghs KPI’s, objectives and financial targets Timely and accurate maintenance of all case management, billing and management information systems Adherence to file management policies To ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2011 Essential Skills and Attributes: • Have a solid understanding of the legal and technical issues surrounding credit hire fraud • To be commercially aware and understand the client issues affecting the credit hire market • Established career in insurance claims handling • Experience of running a credit hire / credit hire fraud caseload, working knowledge of CPR • An understanding of insurance indemnity principles • Proficient use of a case management system, MS Office suite and Outlook email • To be highly proficient in spoken and written English • To have strong negotiation skills What you can expect from us: A learning culture with employee development at the heart of the people development pathway Excellent flexible benefits including Annual leave entitlement and Healthcare Cash Plan as standard Monday to Friday - 35 hours per week Benefits Package: Care Cash Plan Death In Service - after 1 year Pension Contribution Cycle to Work Scheme Tech Scheme Season Ticket Loan Car Parking Scheme Gym Flex Access to Online Discount Sites Discounted Gourmet Society Membership Discounted Tickets for Merlin Attractions nationwide Discounts at local retail outlets Flexible Working 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays Keoghs is one of the leading providers of claims-related services to insurers, businesses and other suppliers to the insurance sector.
