Residential Support Worker - Children, Flexible Working, up to £11.00 P/H, Immediate Starts Residential Support Workers - Children £9.20 - £11.00 P/H We are currently recruiting for outstanding Children's Residential Support Workers to work with some of our key clients across the West Yorkshire Region We have a huge number and variety of shifts available, including Earlier/Lates/Long Days and Sleepovers, with it being Flexible Working it means you can pick and choose when you work. We offer a competitive rate of pay between £9.20 - £11.00 per hour. We require a minimum of six months experience within the last two years working as a Children's support worker. The successful candidate must be subject to an Enhanced DBS if not already on the update service. All the clients we work with endeavour to create a home environment that exceeds the needs of Children and Young Adults. You should be passionate for the Children's wellbeing and have a caring and patient nature towards everyone that you support. The Residential Homes whom we work alongside support young people of a mixed gender aged between 8 - 18 years old. Some of the Children may have complex needs such as EBD, ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, OCD, Conduct Disorder and challenging behaviour and/or physical disabilities, learning disabilities and other emotional and social needs. Working as a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for: Supporting children and young people - focussing on their education, behaviour and physical and mental well-being in order to achieve a positive outcome. You must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people - ensuring that they have an experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood. Supporting young people to attend appointments, trying to help them back into the community, helping with schoolwork, and assisting with any other outdoor activities. Enabling young people to express their characters, feel safe and enrich their lives through positive behaviours and planned activities. You will be confident with report writing and able to complete a thorough handover to the rest of the team and management regarding the individual concerned in a positive, structured and professional manner. It would be great if you held an NVQ level 2 in Health and Social care or equivalent, however, if you have good experience working in a Support Worker capacity then we would love to hear from you.
