Overview
Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside Wakefield Council to provide them with several Residential Children’s Workers to join their team on 3-month interim contract , likely to be extended. Contract – 3 Month agency contract with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis. Working Hours Working across a 24/7 service. Early 7am - 3pm Late 14.30pm - 22.30pm Late Sleep 14.30pm - 23.30pm then sleep until 7am (lone sleeps) Rate of Pay – £12-£16 per hour – Negotiable depending on experience. About the role : Provide high standards and improve the outcomes of children and young people who are Children in Care and their families. Work with and enable children and young people to achieve their full potential. To work in accordance with the Directorate’s aims and objectives and through adherence to its policies, procedures and practice guidelines Key Responsibilities: Work towards the Statement of Purpose and aims of the children’s homes. Promote the development of children and young people, to meet their assessed needs through the provision of appropriate emotional, physical and material care. Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of individual children’s care plans and undertake the role of key worker for individual children and young people. To contribute to the assessment, planning and decision making processed for individual children and young people. Maintain up-to-date case records and care plans in respect of individual children and young people. Contribute to, develop and make themselves aware of the Individual Crisis Management Plans for children whose behaviour challenges the service. Contribute to, develop and make themselves aware of the children and young peoples’ individual Risk Assessments. Promote positive behaviour and manage difficult situations through de – escalation skills.
